October comes lovely each year, whether cold and wet or crisp and windy ... for me it is the most lovely month of the year. Our trees are at what looks to me like peak or near-peak color today. It is rainy and dark, but the autumn leaves glow far and wide bringing a strange brightness to what would otherwise be a gloomy, moody day. Today is Blue Friday for two reasons, 1) it is a gorgeously beautiful day with a deep blue sky and plenty of white fluffy clouds, and 2) I am not feeling well so have already taken two naps today and wishing for several more if only I could find the time. Hello dear readers, I have been absent from my blog during the month of July. As it turns out, I needed some time to recuperate from months of intense fine art painting. Summer also brought with it many activities including a day of plein aire painting on the Master Gardener's Garden Path tour along with other painters from the county, our annual Chicken Barbeque fund raiser at church, and many chores around our property.
