About Sola Wood Flowers
With a background in fine art (more than 25 years as a professional artist), I bring my unique artistry to every sola wood flower I paint. Creating from my beautiful, peaceful farm in Upstate New York, I use a variety of mediums, brushes, and hand painting techniques to create uniquely beautiful floral works of art with each blossom in my care.
Some of my larger blooms (focal flowers) are also hand sculpted after painting to add an extra touch of life; many of my flowers have hand painted centers and some include hand tinted features giving them an even more realistic look.
The petals are touchable soft and the flowers are amazing to behold. My flowers maintain lovely, translucent petals that absolutely glow in dappled sunlight.
*Known as “Forever Flowers”, eco-friendly Sola Wood Flowers are formed from paper-thin sheets of the roots of the aeschynomene aspera plant, also known as “sola”. With realistically soft petals, each sola wood flower is beautifully handmade by artisans.
The raw sola wood flowers are a pale cream color; some have a bit of bark showing here ore there or other tiny “flaws”, all a part of the natural beauty of these incredible flowers.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, water, and open flame. With simple, gentle care and consideration sola wood flowers can last “forever”.
